Hotel accommodations
We've reserved a few blocks of hotels with Marriott in Pioneer Square (downtown Seattle) and Kirkland (near our house). The one in Pioneer Square is MUCH closer to the venue, but if you want to be closer to the bride and groom rather than the Sanctuary, join us in Kirkland!
Things to do in the area
If you've never been to Seattle, we recommend spending a few extra days to visit the area. There's so much to do and such interesting things to see!
The Space Needle (the original 1962 World's Fair centerpiece, and now home to Sky City - a rotating restaurant at the top of the Space Needle): www.spaceneedle.com
Woodinville Wine Country (excellent wine tasting and/or purchasing): www.woodinvillewinecountry.com
Pike Place Market (throwing fish, anyone?): www.pikeplacemarket.org
iFly (indoor skydiving - both Doug and Mackenzie are pros): www.iflyseattle.com
Experience Music Program (aka EMP) and the Science Fiction Museum (yes, that's a real thing at Seattle Center): www.empmuseum.org
Pacific Science Center (geared toward children, but still fun for the young-at-heart): www.pacificsciencecenter.org
Seattle Aquarium (where else do you get to see giant squid and seals at the same time without a lion getting in the way?): www.seattleaquarium.org
